Italian clothing, footwear, and other retail industries have shrunk dramatically

According to the latest data released by the Italian National Bureau of Statistics, the Italian retail industry index contracted by 0.3% in August 2011. From the perspective of various industries, only a small number of products such as foods have increased in retail sales, such as clothing, footwear, and electronic products. Retailing in furniture and other industries has shrunk to a greater extent. The lack of market confidence is the main reason for this contraction.
